Surf Rider

Here is my cover version of 'Surf Rider' written by Nokie Edwards of the Ventures in 1963.
Played on my Ash bodied Strat I bought from Hessey's music shop Liverpool in 1977.
The seventies strats didn't seem to get much respect, coming from the CBS years, but this really is a great example, this beautiful natural Ash finish was popular in the seventies, and produces a bright sound with a woody tone.

Backing track is from 'The Vibrators' 'Turned Out Nice Again' CD, to which I added more guitar parts.

Surf shots I took in 'Chiavari' Italy, just half an hour away from home, during the 'Mareggiata' or rough sea, that only happens occasionally here, stirring up the Med' the rest of the video well-

Nothing wrong with that Vic, good sound and nicely played and presented.
One thing though, we were the VIBRATOS and not the vibrators . . . . ;)

Hi Dave,
Sorry about that, and I had the CD in front of me to check the details of CD title etc, to be sure I got the details right.
Black mark eh!

Thank you for your reply
Vic.

Very good version of this tune, but I would prefer it without the sea noise added !
