This is a cover of The Shadows instrumental version from their 1990 album "Reflection"
The Original vocal recorded by David and Jonathan, and then Gene Pitney in 1967.
Using my Alan Brason custom Strat with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on bridge position.
The Backing track came from Ernie Lamprell’s STRAT TRAX vol. 1
Available from Tony Clout (Tabman)
I didn't use Tabs but they are available also from Tony Clout here :-
http://www.tabman.co.uk/cd-shop-ernie-lamprell.htm

The sound recorded using my Alesis Quadraverb Q2 programmed with echoes from the past (EFTP) patch 0-36 (No Amp)
and into cubase on the computer via Presonus Audio USB sound card.
Video made with 3x Sony SR12 camcorders and edited with the sound in Sony Vegas.
Hope you like “Something's gotten hold of my heart”.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil
Another delightful track from "Reflection" - the last album from The Shads (excluding compilations).
Glorious tone from those FVs - I stlll reckon that they're hard to beat for the"later" Hank" sound.
Of course, the playing helps and again you shoot and score! Lovely phrasing.
Ernies BT is excellent. Strat Trax 1 has some nice tracks on it.
cheers
ian

Thank you very much Lynn,Fred and Ian for your nice comments which I always appreciate.

I agree Ian the Kinman FV-HMS on bridge position is hard to beat for Hanks sound.
I've had the Strat Trax album for some time and glad I've got round to recording with one of the tracks.
I really like the Reflection album it seems relatively modern being released in 1990 several more tracks I'd like to record in time

All the best... Phil
