Thanks Noel. Never too late to learn it though. I started learning this style about 6-7 years ago, but only recently using a thumb pick which makes significant impact on the grooves

Likewise, Chet was a very humble man who often considered himself a famous amateur! The more I learn this thumb style the more I admire Chet, realising how difficult it is to play.
