I Will always Love you. Video + BT

Postby Phil McGarrick » 12 Nov 2013, 22:38

“I will always love you” was originally recorded by Dolly Parton in 1974, and later covered by Whitney Houston in 1992 for the film Bodyguard. Whitney’s version was one of the best selling singles of all time! At the time of writing her song has over 66 million hits on YouTube.

Hank Marvin made an instrumental version of Whitney’s song on his Heartbeat Album in 1993.

My version is based on Hank’s instrumental.

This features my newly purchased (Second Hand) Hank Marvin Fender Electro Acoustic Signature Model GA-43SCE S/N HM-229 for the solo.

My son Andrew made the great backing track and is available to purchase from my website. http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk

Hope you like “I will always love you”

Cheers Phil

A really top notch version of a lovely tune. Great tones from your Strat and acoustic.

As others have mentioned the BT is very good as well.

Hi Phil
Never a fan of Whitney I have to say. I rather enjoyed dear old Dolly's straight from the heart original. But thats just me.
This is another great track, superbly played as always - pure Hank.
Worth listening to for the run from 2.55 to 3.01 alone. Beautifully sensitive.
A bit more echo than usual - Patch 30?
A good bargain is that Fender e-a that you stole from under my nose on ebay (not!). Sounds very vibrant and twangy. Lovely acoustic solo.
Full marks to Andrew too, as always, for creating such a top class BT.

You MUST come to Warwick one Sunday.
Let me know when you are, and I'll go to the Football! lol! ;D :o ::)
cheers
