I don't regret selling the 335 really, I now have a Wine Red L5 and a Cherry SG Standard the tones of which are to die for.
I never seem to look back at guitars, I remain detached. I had a Les Paul De-Luxe for 30 odd years and don't miss it one bit. The only guitar I'd miss is my Yamaha FG 355 SB Acoustic that I've had since 1984, it's in my arms every day and I've written virtually every song and tune of my own on it.

Regret selling the house ? I had no choice, it broke my heart.

I'd always suspected so!! :D

I know what you mean. When I retired, we had to do an Equity Release to be able to stay where we are. We had had a Mortgage for 26 years that had got nowhere near the results forecast and couldnt pay off. B----s!

cheers

The promised private pension was nowhere near its forecast and then the government meddled with it during the last budget in 2012 and halved it.
The last 2 years have been so disappointing.

There are 2 other players, Spike and Pete Korving who also did the BT and tremendous intro.
Not forgetting the Perth Shadows club singers and players augmented at the end by the Von Thack Family Singers.

Hiya Ecca, cooeee cobber, how's yer galah goin' mate?

long time since we've had a little chat. Just for your info., I now live in the outback country town Jindabyne where Aussie Banjo Patterson penned that immortal classic Walting Matilda. Banjo's a local hero round 'ere.

But there's one thing that's not complete in your thread Ecca, so I'll ask everyone watching in:

"WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE BLOKE IN THE SONG WALTZING MATILDA WHO GRABBED THE JUMBUCK (sheep), AND SAT AND WATCHED HIS BILLY BOIL BY THE BILLABONG AND GOT SHOT BY THE TROOPERS. WHAT'S HIS NAME ???"

Anyone who can tell me his name will become an "Honorary Ozzie" for a week. Second prize is a bottle of our local Wild Brumby Schnapps (valued at $150).

If nobody can come up with the bloke's name (it's mentioned in the song lyrics) I'll tell you in a few weeks time on this thread.
