Memory. (Video)

Postby Phil McGarrick » 12 Sep 2014, 18:51

Memory was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and was used in the musical "Cats"
The Shadows version is on several CD's including- Moonlight Shadow, Compact Shadow, and "Hank Marvin and The Shadows play the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice"
The Backing Track is on UB Hank Vol 2
available from Leo's Den. http://www.leosden.co.uk/shop/product.php?id_product=64
Steve Gibb has made tabs for this one:-
http://www.bbigmusic.com/bbigmusic/Guitar_Tabs.html

Recorded using my Fender 56NOS fitted with Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups and a K7 Harness.
I used the bridge with a little Neck pickup for this one.
Recorded directly into Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with Charlie Hall's Echoes from the past (EFTP) Patch 0-34 then into cubase SX 5 on the computer via the sound card.
Some additional reverb and EQ'ing added in cubase.

Hope you like "Memory"
Cheers Phil

One of my old favourites that I used for years in my solo act. Very well played, in fact you nailed it Phil , good sound too.
I used to chuckle at the 'house musicians' over this one, you'd give them the dots and I would get asked "is that 2/4 bar in", to which I'd reply "No, it's there for fun'" - pillocks !
