APACHE 2010 a Colab

My two nephews have been very successful musicians in Capetown SA for many years, bringing out more than a dozen CDs and a couple of DVDs. On their latest CD they included their version of Apache and asked me to play the lead, I was chuffed to be asked and this is the result. Don't mind their rather abrupt ending as it suited the theme of their CD, 'I only work here'!!!

Hi Charles
I love updated Classics and this is one of the very Best!!
Moves along nicely and I like the (synth or slide?) extras as well as the odd chord change here and there. The Lead is excellent - great tone (almost 'classic' in itself) and every note as clear as a bell (unlike the 'original' ).
I know what is said about the rather sudden end but I can understand why it is like that, even if I do think it should have been just 4 bars or so longer.
A WINNER !!!

Y'know, it's been bugging me trying to think what that slide sound / arrangement reminded me of.
Got it!! "Woodstock" by Matthews Southern Comfort (Mark Griffiths band).
I think I love it even more now!!!
