I hope you'll forgive me for jumping the gun slightly, as it's ALMOST 9th February Down Under!!!!

Brian, may I be the first to wish you a very happy 70th birthday. You have been an inspiration to me for over 30 years and I have no doubt that you have been inspiring many others for even longer. The amazing thing is, you are actually playing better now than ever!!! How do you do it?

Anyway, many happy returns and I am sure that our antipodean friends will ensure that you will have a birthday to remember!!!!

Happy 70th. You are, and always will be, the Guv'nor.

BB was certainly an inspiration to me when I was learning to play the drums and he still is. Everything is played with what looks like such ease and professionalism .

I can’t see Brian Bennett looking at this site but we know that Warren does so please pass all our best wishes to your Dad who will always be, as Cliff said, in our minds one of the Young Ones and a fantastic drummer.
