Riders in the sky (Kenny Everett)

Postby drakula63 » Fri Oct 15, 2021 5:01 pm

For those who want a good quality copy of the 1980 performance of Riders on the Kenny Everett Video Show; That's TV Gold are currently repeating the series and this episode (ep 1 of series 3) is being shown on Sunday. I believe that Love De Luxe (from an earlier show) was cut out, along with a lot of other musical content. Such a shame.

All info can be found here...

The Kenny Everett Show appears to be on tonight between 8pm and 11.40pm. The episodes have been cut, mainly due to music licensing issues, and fans of Kate Bush will be particularly disappointed. Sky, playing Toccata, were also cut out of a recent series 3 episode. Riders in the Sky is all present and correct (ep 1, s 3), but Love De Luxe, from s 1, was cut out.

UK Gold is one of UKTV's subscription-only channels, Iain.

Obviously, as you know, they operate several other, FTA, channels, but this isn't one of them.

Thanks both!

Freeview channel 91 is not provided by the main transmitter serving my area so that’s me scunnered. For those served more comprehensively, that seems to be the answer!

If anyone were in a position to make a recording of the show … I would say how fortunate you were …

But maybe this performance is already on YouTube?
