1. London's Not Too Far
2. Goodnight Dick
3. Sacha

Then there was Midnight Cowboy (B-side of The Shads' Slaughter... single) then Boogitoo (one of two songs on flip of Cliff and Hank's The Joy of Living single) then Break Another Dawn.

Thanks for the clarification on the details, Jim. :D It was great to see you. Indeed, thanks to everyone who turned up over the last couple of weeks as my new 'season' of shows took off.

Speaking of which, another theatre show has gone on sale:

Friday 10th November
The Corn Exchange, Witney, Oxfordshire
FULL THEATRE SHOW (Mk1)
Ticket reservations: 01993 704379

Tickets are already selling healthily at this well-run venue, so get yours ASAP!

In the meantime, the shows in Hayling Island and Shaftesbury are coming up, so I'd better get practising!

It has been very special to recently meet up with some of my longest-standing friends in the Shads community! Come to a show and say hi!

Everybody... Anybody...

You HAVE to see this show.

You think you've seen Shadows tribute acts... but not like this you haven't...

The Cranleigh show was sold out and the audience was right with you, Justin (as well they ought to have been).

Well done. Keep it up.

Put your prices up.

Somewhat off-topic maybe, but regarding Hank's solo singles, I see it like this:

In my logic, the singles "London's Not Too Far"/"Running Out Of World" and "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue"/"Midnight Cowboy" are Shadows singles, the first with Hank on the A-side and the second with Hank on the B-side. "The Joy Of Living"/"Leave My Woman Alone", "Boogitoo" is a Cliff & Hank single, with a solo track each by Cliff Richard and Hank Marvin on the B-side.
So, my answer to Jim's question of Hank's first three singles would be:
1. "Goodnight Dick"/"Wahine".
2. "Sacha"/"Sunday For Seven Days".
3. "Break Another Dawn"/"Morning Star".

Hmmm, I see your logic regarding "Slaughter", but with "London", why would you give precedence to the act credited on the "B" side of the single? To me, it's clearly a Hank single, with The Shadows providing the "B" side. Me thinks JimN has opened a can of worms here :D .

Oh, and just to keep on topic, I can happily confirm Jims view of Justins act. I was fortunate to see him a year or so back (Justin, not Jim!), and posted a photo on Facebook, stating "He don't look bad for a bloke pushing 80". I was surprised at how many people were taken in and believed it to be a photo of Hank!! A fantastic show, not to be missed by any Shadows or Hank fan.

Unfortunately the show at Earlsheaton Central WMC on 2nd December has been cancelled.

Their loss. (In more ways than one, if I can't find a replacement gig, as the Musicians' Union then gets involved! )
