Shadows' South African issues

Postby simoncm » Fri Sep 06, 2019 6:33 pm

I've just bought the "Live at the Colosseum" EP (great!) and have been checking out other South African issues. I see there was a single Shazam/Be-Bop-a-Lula. Is Shazam the EP recording? and is Be-bop-a-Lula the track from the first Cliff Richard LP, or another South African recording? Can someone kindly help?

"Be-Bop-A-Lula" is the live-in-the-studio recording from the very first Cliff Richard (& The Drifters) album "Cliff", from April, 1959. There aren't any other released versions of this track by the group, apart from the true stereo mix of the same track, which appeared on the UK digi-pak CD "Cliff", from June, 1998, which also includes the mono mix.
