Brilliant for a compilation where everything was previously released

It just goes to show that CD sales are very low these days. A nice thought though.

Yes that is true - but positions also incorporate streaming and downloads. I would imagine his sales are mostly physical sales

I think Twenty Golden Greats did even better. Everything it contained had also been previously released.

Must be amazing for Hank to see tracks from his vocal albums charting years after they were recorded

Previously, there have been quite a few UK compilation albums by The Shadows and Hank Marvin, which went into the British charts: "The Shadows' Greatest Hits", the already mentioned "20 Golden Greats", "Another String Of Hot Hits" (which contained one new track), "Themes And Dreams", "Shadows In The Night", "The Best Of Hank Marvin And The Shadows", "The Very Best Of Hank Marvin & The Shadows - The First 40 Years", "50 Golden Greats", "Life Story - The Very Best Of The Shadows" (also containing one new track) and "Platinum Collection".

I'm not sure which one we're talking about here, but I believe that on some indie album chart, Hank has just come in at number 1. I'll assume that this must be for 'Gold' as I can't imagine any other Hank album doing this at the moment. This comes from a very reliable source close to the Shads - sorry I am being a bit vague. But a number 1 album somewhere, for Hank!

I saw it at number one too - it'll do for me :)
