I have seen somewhere on a CD sleeve that Max Harris played piano on Got a Funny Feeling.

Could that be the studio version which was recorded with Brian Bennett and Brian Locking about a year after the recording sessions for the "The Young Ones" soundtrack album?

As the risk of going off-topic- was just listening to I'm a Moody Guy by Shane Fenton and the Fentones. This was written by Jerry Lordan and produced by Norrie Paramor (so there is a thin connection to The Shadows). Because its a CD I can hear piano on the recording-which is hard to hear on the 45prm vinyl. Wonder who is playing the piano? Maybe Norrie?

I think the "plink" you can hear is actually Jerry Lordan - on ukulele.

Still think its piano - the CD in question is 'Shane Fenton and the Fentones - The Complete A-sides and B-sides' - its a 2003 release on the EMI gold label - the recordings appear to be all mono. If anyone has access to the stereo recordings, they may hear what I am hearing?

Most proper musicians (ie not me!!!) can play keyboards-so just wondering who is the most likely candidate?

PS just thought I would explain that i have always had an interest in Shane Fenton and the Fentones as they were the first live band I saw - at the Radio Show, which was then held once a year in one of the London venues such as Olympia. I saw Shane/Alvin/Bernard in the departure lounge at gatwick airport a few years before he passed away. I also managed to exchange a few words with their bass player Bill Bonney about 20 years ago when they briefly reformed for a show.
I have always wished that they had done a few more recordings as I thought they looked great on stage.

Kindest regards,
Christopher

Christopher,
It's likely that you saw the briefly reformed Fentones at the 1995 Pipeline Convention
Fentones Pipeline 95.BMP

(L-R) Mike Beddoes (from The Falcons, depping on rhythm guitar), Bill Bonney, Tony Hinchcliffe, Jerry Wilcock.
They played The Breeze & I / Lovers Guitar / Hideaway / Just For Jerry / The Mexican / Memphis

Brilliant dvds of Pipeline they were too Ray.
I get great pleasure getting them out at Random and have
a Pipeline night in every couple of months. A pint and a Pipeline
Can't beat it.
