After searching for what seems a hell of a long time, I finally managed to get a copy of the Bruce Welch autobiography "A Life In The Shadows".
The first few pages have been good reading, not quite what I expected at all. If you can still get hold of a copy and have not yet read it, it's worth the search.
Cheers

It's not only the story of Bruce's life (about which he is startlingly honest at times), but also the story of the growth of rock'n'roll in the UK of the late 1950s - including lots of wonderful facts (e.g. where are the two places in central London that were used as pickup points by the coaches that ferried rock'n'roll artists around the country on package tours?)

A really good read. I may dig out my copy and read it again.
There are 3 copies on AbeBooks.co.uk currently. This is a great website for out of print and hard to find books.
